Very interesting. Thanks to UCLA Law.
As a nursing student in Spain, I have witnessed how HIV stigma can still appear even in healthcare settings. Sometimes staff warn students “be careful, this patient has HIV,” instead of simply applying standard precautions for everyone. Science has advanced enormously, including U=U, but attitudes sometimes lag behind. Education, cultural and empathy remain essential to protect patients’ dignity and improve care.

It's incredible that it's the 21st century and the world has been living with HIV/AIDS education for at least 40 years yet HIV ignorance and bigotry persists. Especially among those in the Healthcare industry. It only proves that the human capacity for prejudice of all kinds is eternal. Shame on us all.
